Wow!

I have ignored this blog for so long, she has literally become a new person since the last time I touched it! Today is Katie's last full-day of Kindergarten, I cannot believe that time can move this fast. Unbelievable!

Back to DisneyWorld......

In November we took off for another trip to DisneyWorld, yes this was our third trip as a family. This time it was packaged as a 5th birthday present for Katie and once again we had a great time. The above picture was from our last day while on the ferry to the Grand Floridian for breakfast, it's one of my favorite pictures of all time.

For this visit I booked an "extra", tickets to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. It was a late night, but we got a few extra special treats, one of which was meeting Santa himself!

How about this luck, we waited in line to see Santa for over an hour and were treated to some amazing fireworks right as it was our turn to meet the big guy. The pictures are amazing and I'm sure not too many people have pictures of themselves with Santa with fireworks in the background!

October Snow.

So obviously I am very, very behind on my blogging so I am going back in time to post all of the exciting things that I missed in the past few months. The one BIG news story back in October was the snow, it is very rare that we get snow before Halloween, but the kids loved it!

First Day of School

August 29th, 2011 was Katie's first day in Pre-Kindergarten or PRE-K at St. Patrick School. The above picture is of Katie's first three first days, when she was 2, 3 and now 4. I can't believe how big she has gotten! (You can click on the picture to make it larger)

Yesterday we spent some time with Grandma and Grandpa Burt, Aunt Christy and cousin Will. We always love when Christy comes back to York for a visit and now that Will is crawling spending time with them is a whole new adventure!

So bad....

It has been about five months since I've last posted, oops. I wish I could say that we were so darn busy that I didn't have time, but that wouldn't be the truth so let's just say that I was lazy and promise that I will try to update this blog at least once a month!

A lot has been going on since we went to Disney World in February/March. First and most importantly we recently welcomed a new nephew/cousin into the world, my sister Liz and her husband Doug had their 2nd little boy on July 30th and he is adorable and perfect. (There are pictures of baby Jack down this post.) My other sister Sarah and her husband Tim will be welcoming a little girl, finally a girl, in January and we are all super excited to keep adding to the brood.

In Katie news, things have been busy, this summer she has taken two trips to North Myrtle Beach once with my sister, Tripp and Grammy (Grammy and Pop bought a condo!!) and the second time with just me and Nat. Katie attended 4 camps, two at Dreamwright's where she got to learn some acting and body movement, one camp at the Country Club of York where she got to try golf, tennis and swimming and the last at the Jewish Community Center where she got to try her hand at cooking and cutting fruit and veggies.

The other time consuming thing that happened this summer was Katie's tonsillectomy, adnoidectomy and tubes placed in her ears. She had the surgery on July 12th and it was a long, two week recovery, but her sleep apnea seems to have resolved itself and she can now hear out of her left ear (it was filled with water and she was 80% deaf in it!).
