Joe and Fiona's Reception

Tonight the whole family went out to celebrate the wedding of Nat's cousin Joe and his new bride Fiona. Joe and Fiona were actually married back on May 14th but they got hiched in St. Lucia, so Nat's aunt Donna and uncle Ben decided to throw a reception here at home for the families. It was a lot of fun, and as you can see one little person danced her self silly!! Katie was out on the dance floor, jumping and hoping, from the start of the music until we pulled her off of the dance floor and put her into her car seat. It seems as though Nat and I have produced a party girl!!
A family picture where we are all smiling, can you believe it!!!
Joe and Fiona cutting their cake, it was yummy!!
The new Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Lucia!! (well 3 months old?!)

Getting her groove on.

Obviously I stopped her dancing frenzy to take this picture and she wasn't too happy, no smiling at all!!

By the way Katie didn't go to be until 8:45pm, I'll let you know how she does tomorrow!!

Ponytail.

Yep, she has enough hair to pull up now. Can you believe it? Katie had just enough hair last Christmas to put a teeny-tiny barrette in there, the barrette was about the size of my pinky nail, so small. Now she has so much hair I can barely get any of those snap barrettes to stay in so today I decided to see if she had enough hair to pull back in to a ponytail and sure enough, she did!! Not only was there enough hair, I didn't have to use any barrettes for straggler hairs, you know the ones that never fit in the rubber band. She looks so cute I had to take some pictures, but looking at them now she seems like such a big girl, maybe we won't do this all of the time?!

Carrying a toy around.
Just looking cute.
Drawing "pretty flowers".
Trying to feed the cat some mulch through the screen door.
I just thought she looked like my sister Liz in this picture. (when Liz was a baby.)

Pudding Painting

Yesterday we were at my parents house and Mom decided that Katie should try finger painting with some chocolate pudding. Well if you know anything about Katie then you know that there was no way she was putting her delicate fingers in pudding (she has tactile issues!!). We got her a paint brush and she went to town, eating and painting.....

Clown Cake

Here is my latest cake, the clown cake. My red collared clown slumped over a bit on the way home from class, guess my icing wasn't stiff enough?! Friday is my last class and we are supposed to be making a cake with roses all over, Sheri and I both aren't that great with the roses, but hopefully by Friday our luck will change??? Oh and by the way we don't get to choose the cakes we make, just in case you were wondering why I would choose to make a creepy clown cake................hehehe.

A Family Gathering

Ok so yesterday I had to apologize for the mountian of pictures and today I upped the ante and have 15 pictures??! Crazy, I know! We went to visit with The Burt's today, Nat's Grandfather and his wife, and they have such beautiful gardens that I just kept snapping away. (Seriously, I bet every picture has at least one flower!!) I hope everybody had a great weekend, we were busy but had a lot of fun!

Katie with her Grandma and Pop on the swing.

Walking thru the garden.
Grandpop taking Katie for a ride around the yard.

This is just one side of the garden, you can see the tables in the middle, isn't it gorgeous?!!
Aunt Christy and Katie

Katie listening to Aunt Christy tell her stories.
Katie pushing the wagon, she did this a lot and would get so ticked off when she couldn't get the wagon up on the veranda.
These next few pictures are from the upper gardens behind Grandpa, or Great-Grandpa, Burt's house.

Grandpop helping Katie ring the wind chimes, she loved hearing them ring and I even spotted some dancing.

Lots of Pictures!!!

We had a very eventful Saturday so I'm going to have to apologize for the avalanche of pictures. The first few pictures are from our art fest on the patio and the last bunch are from Makenzie's 3rd birthday party. I'll explain as we go along!!

Our drawings.

Katie getting some coloring in, she likes when I draw a picture and she colors over it?

She LOVES watermellon!!
Haley and Katie in their party ware, Haley is 4 days younger than Katie.
The girls sitting down to eat dinner, with their wands of course.
Katie had a hot dog but I guess my cheeseburger was much more appetizing.

Makenzie, Katie and Haley playing.
Opening gifts was a group effort!
The birthday girl.
Blowing out her candle.
Yummy cupcake, of course you know she ate every last crumb!
