Just a quick update....Katie had her 2 year-old checkup at her pediatrician this past Saturday. Katie is 35.5 inches tall, 29.9 lbs. and healthy and developing a little ahead of schedule. At 2 children are supposed to know 50 words, be able to stack 5 blocks and climb up the stairs by taking steps. In addition to being able to verbalize most wants and needs she is able to say a few short sentences, she can count to 15, recognize all numbers from 1-10, climb up and down the stairs and she is getting better with her colors, she knows purple, yellow and green almost all of the time, and her alphabet, in the alphabet song you can usually stop and she can tell you the next letter. The one thing she still isn't doing is referring to herself as "Katie", she will point to pictures and say "Katie" but if I ask her what her name is she doesn't seem to get it, so that's what we are working on right now. Okay well back to Mickey Mouse, just wanted to give everybody an update on our big girl, oh and she's in the 90% for height and 85% for weight, so yes she is a BIG girl!!

We had a full, full day today. Nat was off of work for Veteran's Day so we used our time wisely and were out and about for most of the day. We started off early with a visit to York Country Day School to sit in on the class, the Panda Class, that Katie will be enrolling in next fall. It was so cute, the kids were adorable and so was their classroom and the best part is that the school is less than 1/2 a mile from our house!!
After visiting the school we went over to visit Tripp, who is ADORABLE!, and got in some snuggle time and had a nice lunch with Liz. After our visit with Izzie and Tripp, we came home for nap time and then back out to visit with Katie's Great-Grandma Lucia. Grandma had some leaves to rake so we volunteered to help and let Katie enjoy the spoils of our work....

Phineadroids and Ferbots.....

This video will only be funny to those of you who have seen or heard of Katie's obsession with the cartoon "Phineas and Ferb". There is an episode where the boys, Phineas and Ferb, make robot clones of themselves and call them Phinadroids and Ferbots, we watched it earlier in the day. Somehow while playing with her new blocks she decided it would be funny to repeat saying "Ferbots" through the tube, over and over and over again. As you can see she was cracking herself up.............we still aren't too sure why?!

Sunday...

We, and by we I mean Nat, got Katie's birthday present from Aunt Liz, Uncle Doug and Tripp together last night so this morning was Katie's first go-round on the trampoline.....I'm working on the video.....she LOVES it!!

Today we had a smaller birthday party for Katie here at our house, only about 25 people versus about 50 the previous year. (Much more managable!!)
