MORE SNOW!!!

Well here we are again, another dang snow storm!! It just started at 5pm and we already have 3.5 inches at 7:45pm! We decided to go out and play in it before bedtime, just to make Katie nice and tired.
Kate in the snow.
Nat decided to take Maddux and Katie out for a little sledding. (in the street!)
The roads at 6:45pm were already very snow covered, it was nice for sledding!
So happy, they don't have to shovel!

Snow (pt.2)

We are still digging out here, today's mission was freeing the mailbox! Katie got a nice little trip up and down the street on her sled, but thanks to all of this snow she can't actually sled down a hill, it's just too deep!
Riding Laurel Oak Lane.
Finding more snowballs.
The 26 inches of snow next to 40 inches of Katie.
Nat trying to climb to the top of the snow pile, of course he just sank right into the snow and had so figure out how to get his leg back out!
Katie making a nice little seat for herself.
Happy snow bunny!
Me and Kate.
Trying to reach the top of the snow, too bad, it's not going to work this time!

More BIG Snow!!

For the second time this season we have gotten knocked out with snow, about 26 inches this time around! CRAZY!! It started snowing yesterday around 3pm and by noon today we finally felt like we could make it outside to shovel, it was blowing around so much earlier in the day that it would have been pointless to even try. Katie was excited to get out and play and as you can see she had a blast!
Nat and Katie starting to shovel.
Walking up and down the driveway surveying her snow.
Carrying her "snowball", she would just find big hunks of snow (already packed) and throw them at our behinds.
The front of our house.
Katie with another snowball.
Guess who she's chasing after?
Katie and Nat.
Katie after falling face first into the snow.
This is a snow pile at the corner of our street, the angle of the picture isn't great, but the pile was over 6 feet from all of the plowing.
Our street pole, I'm standing in the middle of the street and the snow was almost over my head!

Playtime!

On Tuesday's the local rollerskating rink has toddler time where they open up the rink to the under-5 crowd for their bikes, scooters, rollerskates and basically anything else with wheels. Katie got to take her plasma car, which worked wonderfully on the flat smooth surface of the rink. FUN!
We tried rollerskates but she couldn't go fast enough and just wanted to quit.
Tucking her feet under the back, she thinks this makes her go faster!
The "stop taking pictures" look.
About half way through the toddler time they turn off the main lights and turn on the disco balls, Katie loved that!
Giving the whole experience a thumbs up.

New and EXCITING!!

Last night Nat and his father toiled away for two hours so that Katie could have her new bunk beds!! (They came in one giant 100 lb. box) She LOVES them! Katie has already figured out how to get up to the top bunk, but not how to get down so that's the only issue we have had.
A different view, with her Sheriff Woody and baby Julia dolls at the head of the bed and Bessie and bear-bear at the foot of the bed. Oh and you can't see them well, but she also has new Princess and the Frog sheets, we are in major Princess Tiana mode here!
Tripp came over to check out Katie's bunk beds and fell for baby Juila!
Tonight was the Father/Daughter Dance up at the Club. Katie was so excited to dance with her Daddy and "no Mommy's allowed".
A close up of her, yes she was biting her tounge!
Katie and her Daddy...........they had a blast!

Ballet Class!!

Today was Katie's first official ballet class at the Jewish Community Center here in York. There were 11 3-year-olds (aaaahhhh) in the class and with the exception of one little girl who cried the entire half-hour, the girls all had a lot of fun!

(Please excuse the quality of the first three pictures, the Mom's were all banned from the room so we were taking pictures through a little side window on the opposite end of the room)
The girls pretending to be caterpillar.
Hopping up and down.
Katie and her friend Mya after class.
Yay, she loved it!!!

Fort Time!

What do you do when it's 33 degrees outside and you are bored out of your mind? Build a fort in our family room!!
Liking the fort!
Pretending to be a lion.
We eventually had to move her "snuggle bed", an inflatable mattress with a sleeping bag attached, under the tent.

The Baltimore Aquarium

This year Nat's parents got us an awesome Christmas present, an annual pass to the Baltimore Aquarium! With me getting sick and Katie potty training we really hadn't had time to use it until this week, fortunately we picked a great day for a visit and we had a TON of fun!
Katie in front of the "big fish", which she keeps telling everyone was my favorite part of the trip.
Awaiting the Dolphin Show at the aquarium, thank goodness I had a coloring book in my purse!
Watching the dolphins, her favorite.
Happy to see some dolphins.
Katie kept asking me when it would be her turn to get in and swim with the dolphins?
Her favorite moment, luckily I saw them lowering the ball from the ceiling so I knew when to take the picture............she keeps looking at it!
Katie in front of one of the Jellies tanks, the traveling exhibit right now is all about Jellyfish, very cool! Thanks again Grandma and Grandpa Burt, we are going to use the heck out of this pass!!
