Today Katie turned 6 months old, it's been half of a year already! Time flies when you are having fun, I really get that now; it seems like only yesterday that I was pregnant. Since we are both getting over being sick there wasn't too much celebration but we did have a doctors visit and they like to celebrate by sticking needles in her chubby legs, four shots today.(poor thing) Other than the shots we found out that she is 15 lbs. which puts her just above the 25th percentile, she was 25.5 inches long which was in the 50th percentile for height (woo-hoo!!) and her head was 16.5 inches around which was in the 30th percentile. So she is firmly on the charts, finally, and developmentally she is right where she should be, she even sat on her own for the doctor today (she's a ham and all of the nurses there know it already!). After her appointment we came home and Kate slept for almost 3.5 hours, stupid shots, and when she woke up she was sore, hungry and generally ticked off at the world. She was only happy if I was walking with her, so we did some walking around the house, talking to every stuffed animal along the way. By about 7pm life returned to normal and for the first time in a long time I joined Katie and Nat for their evening walk. We didn't get too far, with only one lung functioning at normal capacity I was beat doing a small loop, but it was fun to get out as a family and enjoy the spring air. Well I am tired so I'm calling it a day, talk to you all soon!!!
