Great Wolf Lodge-Poconos

For my 34th birthday I asked Nat for a little family get away up in the Poconos at this great place called Great Wolf Lodge. The place is amazing, they have an enormous indoor water park, an arcade, a bunch of little places to eat and a game called Magiquest, which is an interactive quest for the kids using wands and riddles. (Very cool for adults too!) Anyhow the trip would have been perfect except that Katie got really sick, ugh. She pulled it together for about 4 hours of the 3 day trip and the rest of the time she was just miserable and no one was able to sleep. That being said we still managed a little fun and somehow we are all ready to try this trip again, maybe next spring.
Katie with her wand.
Katie pointing her wand at the picture of the sun, I think the sun would light up, some things would talk and others would just illuminate. Oh and there were about a dozen different quests you could follow but Katie just went around pointing at everything!
The treasure chest.
Our five minute journey into the arcade, immediately after this picture was taken we went back to our room because she was getting horrible stomach cramps.
Another picture of the magic game, here you would use your wand to tell you how many things you had gathered on your quest, somehow Katie had 4 out of the 6 things on one quest?
Katie's cute little bunkbeds, snuggled up with her Daddy watching Madagascar 2.
Katie and her wand.
Here are just some pictures from inside the water park, you can see the three BIG slides in this picture, the blue, orange and the green and yellow were all off limits to Katie. (You had to be at least 4 feet tall)
This was just turning my head slightly to the right, we are standing in the kiddie pool and the "fort" is right in front of us. The fort had a lot of water guns, cannons, self operated water projection stuff.
Katie coming down 1 of the 5 kiddie pool slides.
Another view of the fort.
This was Katie's favorite thing in the park, the big slides! She would get in either the green or the orange and we, Nat or I, would get in the other slide and we would race. This one looks pretty close to me!
A happy moment!
The picture of the slides that Katie loved, you had to be 42" to get on the slide and I think with water shoes she was a bit over 40", but they let her on anyway.
Nat and Katie standing in line for the water slide, she was getting a stomach cramp and I can tell that because every time she would get one she needed Nat or I to hold her.
Another shot of her coming down the slide.
My favorite picture from the whole trip.
With everything that was at this water park, she loved to try and smash the water down these spouts more than anything (with the exception of the slides).
What you see when you first walk in to the park, the giant bucket at the top of the picture fills and dumps water over everything and everyone just about every 10 minutes.
