Howdy!!!!

Good Thursday afternoon!!

It's cold today, 29 degrees when we went to the grocery store at 1pm. Nothing is too exciting around here I just wanted to pass along the pictures of Katie wearing her petal headband, she actually kept it on for over an hour before she ripped it off of her head and threw it under the sofa. She's developing quite a temper, but that's for another day......Here's to hoping that Spring is just around the corner!!!

(This is the disgruntled flower; doesn't she look like she's about to attack me!!!)

Grayson

Here is Grayson, cute little guy, huh?! He basically slept the whole time I visited with him, although I did see him open his eyes once or twice. Mom and baby both seemed to be doing well and it looks like they will be coming home from the hospital tomorrow.

A new friend....

This is the end of the night for us, no shirt, no shoes, and the thumb in the mouth. What a day!!
The big news of the day was that Michelle, Makenzie's mom, had her baby!!!
Grayson Phillip was born at 3:01pm and weighed in at 8 lbs. 5 oz. and measured 19.5 inches long. He has dark brown hair, unlike blondie Makenzie, and had already eaten his first meal as of 4:30pm. I will have more information and pictures tomorrow after my visit to meet the little guy. I can't wait!! Well I hope everybody had a great weekend, enjoy the Oscars!!

Yucky Weather.

I wish I had some action shots of us playing in the snow to show everybody but we are having yet another one of those winter storms that is going to amount to nothing in the end, it fizzled before it got a chance to really get going. Nat stayed home from work today in anticipation of this "storm" so having an extra set of hands around has been kind of nice, especially with a teething, moody and sometimes nutty toddler. I wish we could go outside and play in the inch or two of snow that we have but it turned to freezing rain right before the whole system petered out and I'm afraid of Kate taking a nose dive on the concrete. (I might go give the sidewalks a test run during her nap?!)

Well it's almost nap time here, Nat is already half asleep on the sofa and Katie is running around with one of my Crocs in each hand and throwing them on the carpet runner in the hallway. (We aren't doing any better with the throwing.) Snow days are always more fun for the kids! If the snow is good for some play time you might be seeing new pictures later in the day, if not have a good weekend!!

Ugh......

Still drooling a lot here, new teeth are still popping out, in fact one bottom tooth was a newbie today! It's been pretty miserable here, those dumb teeth are bugging her so badly that she has been taking only one nap a day for about an hour, at no set time, so I'm afraid to leave the house or make plans. It's crazy!!!

Oh and we are still working on not throwing things in the house; it's still going well!!!

New Table and Daytona!

This morning my Mother and I took a trip to IKEA to pick up a table and chair set for Katie. I thought this set was really cute, and Katie does seem to like it, but it's a bit too big for her right now, she can't even climb into the chairs on her own yet. She did have a snack of Cheerios and enjoyed a good read at the table so it will eventually be a big hit!!

The second half of our Sunday was filled with the sounds of NASCAR! Katie still seems to like the cars, we turned on the surround sound and all watched the entire race. Of course we had to position the highchair so she could continue to root for #18, the M&M car, during dinner!! Hopefully Aunt Liz and Uncle Doug will take Katie to a race someday, I'm not sure who would enjoy that more?!

Happy Sunday!

This is Sydney Claire, she's my friend Angie's daughter; I got too see her yesterday at a party so I thought I would pass her picture along. Besides being super cute she wins the "good sleeper" award, she's been sleeping through the night since she was 8 weeks old and takes two hour naps! Gotta love those sleepers!

The other two pictures below are of Katie running through the neighborhood with her tutu on, what a fashion icon!

What is this about?

I'm going to blame this behavior on teething; she started doing this laugh/cry thing yesterday and it has me totally baffled. What the heck?! If someone has some explanation I would love to hear about it because I don't know if I should be hugging, laughing, or seeking medication!

Superstar!

This afternoon we have been awaiting a delivery truck with some new furniture and of course it's taking FOREVER to get here! We went down to Maryland with our neighbors to a Restoration Hardware warehouse sale last weekend and they are delivering our purchases to their house, we split the delivery fee and had it shipped there (yes we are thrifty!!). We decided to hang out at their place and wait, and wait, and wait, until we gave up for naptime and just came home.

Katie made the best of the waiting by playing with all of Maddux's toys and trying to teach him to read, oh yeah she's that advanced! Kate really seems to like the Radio Flyer Rocket, or she likes the blastoff noises that it makes when you press the buttons, either way she had a good time and I think Maddux is going to be a quick study with such an awesome teacher!

Why yes Maddux, ducks do say quack, quack!

Brilliant!!

You say "no" to this face....

Yogurt face and crazy hair!

Yeah, so I was teaching her to not throw toys. It went well, thanks for asking.
