Wedding Pictures!!!

Ok, so somehow these pictures are all out of order?! I tried to get a picture of Jarrett and Christy first, they were the reason for the exciting day, but I ended up with a picture of Christy and Nat. Oh well. We had such a good day, the weather decided to cooperate and we had some great, warm, sunny weather.
CONGRATS JARRETT AND CHRISTY!!!! Thanks for including us in your big day!!

Wedding Rehersal!!

Well today is the big day, Nat's sister will be getting married in 7 hours and our house is a buzz with wedding excitement!!! Before all of the craziness of the day begins I thought I would share a few pictures from the rehersal last night. Above is the beautiful bride getting ready for her "practice" stroll down the aisle.

Nat and Katie in the church, Katie loved running thru and between all of the pews; Pray she doesn't do that today!!!

The happy couple!!

Katie's Bouncing Love.....

Today my mother, sister Liz and I took Katie to a carnival at Red Lion High School (Liz teaches there). I was so excited to take Katie to the petting zoo that the 4-H club had set up, all baby animals, pigs, cows, bunnies and goats. They were all so cute and Katie wanted nothing to do with any of them, there were even 3 week old kittens; what's fluffier and more petable than that?

I thought that it was going to be a washout after the dissapointment of the petting zoo but things turned around after we stopped to watch some Irish dancing and Katie joined in. (Yep, she's a dancer!!) We watched the dancers and ate french fries, then moved around to some different games before happening upon the bounce house.

Mom and I were apprehensive about letting Katie get in, the kids were all way, way bigger than her. Katie's argument in favor of jumping was convincing though, jumping up and down and clapping her hands while my Mother was holding her. The above video is a little snipit of the jumping.......SHE LOVED IT!!!

Enjoy!!!

Memorial Day

We spent the afternoon at my parents house today, having a BBQ and watching Katie swim in her mini-pool. (Oh and putting sunglasses on Beamer?!) We really couldn't have asked for better weather, 84 degrees and sunny, perfect for sitting out on the deck and having a drink, unless you are pale and of German decent........then you are sitting in the shaded areas, smothered with sunblock and still getting sunburned. Of course we always have fun and eat way too much, but hey that's what family time is all about!!

Katie in her baby pool, my Mom bought the pool last year and it seemed so big at the time!! Today we watched as she climbed in and out of the pool all by herself and couldn't believe how independant she has become within the past year.

Mom and Katie blowing bubbles. In the background is my Uncle Tom who is visiting from Montana, he looks just enough like my Dad that Katie has been a bit freaked out by his presence all week. (By the end of the BBQ she was saying "Hi Dom" everytime he walked by her.)

Guess who wanted the Corona? She thinks she can count now so she walks up to everything and says "One".

Party over here...

This afternoon Maddux and Chase came over to play with Katie in her pool and once again they all cried at some point, the water was a little cold. Anyhow the pictures are pretty self-explanatory.....enjoy!!

Swimming in the buff...

I know she'll disown me for these pictures in about 10 years but honestly there is nothing better than a warm day, a baby pool and taking a dip sans clothing. (Look at that belly!!!)

Chili Cookoff

(Nat double fisting, a baby and a beer!)

Today was the Chili Cook off here in York, sponsored by the Jaycees (which Nat is a dues paying member). We made sure Katie was well rested before we struck out for a two hour eating extravaganza!! Of course now Nat and I are regretting trying 5 different varieties of spicy, delicious chili, but at the time it was so very good. Katie enjoyed the chips and cornbread, oh and we snuck some french fries in there too, now that I'm thinking about it maybe I should be thankful that I'm not comatose!!

(Me and Katie, notice the 8 inches of hair that are no longer on my head!!!!)

(Nat trying to listen to Katie tell him a story.)

(This was my favorite chili and they had the best signage......had to take a picture!)

Playdate...

We had a full house today and as usual I forgot to get my camera out until it was almost over! The picture above is Katie, obviously, playing with a new toy that Chase got this past weekend, Heather was kind enough to bring over. Of course Katie loved the toy but anytime another child would attempt to get in any playtime on the toy she would cry and run away, she doesn't understand sharing yet!!

This is Hailey, she's Michelle's niece and she is three days younger than Katie. It was so fun to watch another child Katie's age and for all of Kate's cuts and scrapes Hailey is for sure the bigger dare devil. I didn't think anyone was crazier than my child until I saw Hailey standing on top of the Jump and Spin Zebra, yes standing, and jumping to make the thing bounce. Hailey's mom Steph said that Hailey will climb anything and stand on top of it so we were all keeping an eye on my piano and the whereabouts of Hailey!!

Here are Makenzie and Ben enjoying their cupcakes, well I guess I should say enjoying their frosting because neither of them ate the actual cake part.

This is Tilly with her twins Libby and Lainey, they are so cute and fun to watch! (They are almost crawling!!) It was so funny to watch the other kids while Libby, Lainey and baby Grayson were rolling around on the floor, they would run right over them and Ben even pushed a car right over Libby's arm!! Katie tried to sit on Grayson more than once and almost poked out Lainey's eye trying to show me that Lainey did indeed have eyes, I guess she thinks that they are dolls?

Just Adorable!!!

Well it doesn't get much sweeter than this!!!

This is our friend Emma from Dallas, her parents are good friends of ours and Stacy, Emma's Mother, sent this picture to me last night from Emma's first ballet recital. If I remember this correctly Emma's is in a Christian dance class and their age group, the 3 year olds, had a theme of "Bee Humble". Isn't that precious!!!

I just had to share this picture because I'm willing to bet that it made you smile.........am I right?

Yummy....

Katie outside, riding in style........in her pajamas. It rained most of the weekend so as soon as we saw the sun we just dropped what we were doing and ran outside. And, yes, it was 4pm and she was still in PJ's, that's what happens at our house when it rains!

First strawberry shortcake of the season!!

Above is Nat's version, he did share a little with Katie but she seems to like the strawberries on their own, not a big cool whip fan. Below is my version, I don't like strawberries (yes, there is something wrong with me), but Nat makes me eat at least one every time I make shortcake, clearly I have no issues with the whip!

We are finally COOL!!

So you are all going to crack up when I tell you this.....Nat and I finally got an iPod!!!!

Yes we are the last two people on this Earth that didn't own one, call it techno-laziness, but finally we have one and that's what counts. Isn't it beautiful, it's a Touch and I have already stolen it and claimed it as my own; although I guess Nat will have to have some access to it because at this point I can only play music! (Don't know how to download music on to it and there are a thousand other features that bewilder me; do you know I can even get online with this thing!!!........please stop laughing at me.)

Ok well I am going to rock out now......now if someone could just explain to me why those stupid ear buds won't stay in my ear holes that would be great......
