Merry Christmas Eve!

Tonight we went over to Grandma and Grandpa Burt's house to open presents and have some delicious food! (Seriously, it was awesome!) Here are a few pictures from the night.....enjoy!
Katie and Aunt Christy in front of the tree.
Grandma helping Katie open up a present, a Leap Frog Tag Jr.....I can't wait to try it with her!
Giving a thumbs up to her new Lightning McQueen RC car.
Her new Minnie Mouse ornament for the tree, every year Grandma and Grandpa Burt get a new ornament for the tree with her name and year on it. A great tradition!
A special holiday Minnie Mouse that Aunt Christy and Uncle Jarrett picked up on their vacation to Disney World last week!
Once we got home we had to get our cookies for Santa and our carrots for the reindeer, she was so excited!
Leaving our "special" key out on the porch for Santa, since we have no chimney we decided to start a new tradition.

Playing with buddies

Today we went over to Sheri's house for lunch. Of course the kids always have fun, but today what made it even more fun was the fact that the little ones swapped Christmas presents! Now for some reason it never dawned on me to take pictures of the kids opening their gifts (that would make to much sense) but I still got some cute shots none the less. The above picture and the two below all made me laugh for different reasons and I just couldn't choose which was the best, so I'm posting them all! Katie and Maddux were already sitting on the steps when I coaxed Chase over with the promise of taking his picture, he loves getting his picture taken, and these are the pictures I got when I asked them all to look at the camera and say "Cheese"!

Sheri had a Mickey Mouse Christmas movie on, so you know Katie wasn't moving too far!
Sweet baby Dylan, I can always catch a smile from him!
Julia playing with some blocks, this was the first time in about 2 hours that she allowed Heather to put her down, I remember those days!
Chase found his home in Dylan's bouncy seat, I was having flashbacks to Katie doing the same thing when I used to watch Tripp!

Outside after the snow....

While I was inside cleaning up from our 24 hour forced hibernation and Nat was shoveling, Sheri took Katie and Maddux on a little sled ride down the street.
Obviously they enjoyed it!
Here they are, the three musketeers, playing on top of a giant snow pile! When you have over a foot of snow it's not a tough decision to make giant "mountains" to slide down.

LET IT SNOW!!! (pt.2)

Sorry the pictures are a little darker, we went back outside at 4pm and found about 16 inches of snow and it's still coming down. I was going to give Katie a new sled for Christmas, but when you have this much snow you just have to break the rules!
Trying to walk in the snow proved a little more difficult that she thought!
She tried crawling.
Finally we got to good ol' fashioned scooting, which seemed to move her a little bit faster than walking.
Pausing for a picture.
This is a good picture to show how much snow we have, Katie needs HUGE steps to clear this amount!
Backwards on her sled, no more pictures for Mommy!

LET IT SNOW!!!

These pictures are from 9am, when we had about 6 inches of snow......it's 4pm now and we have over a foot of snow!! Enjoy!
Trying to catch snowflakes.
Still trying, she kept telling me she was missing them.
Trying to make a snowball.
After we came inside from playing in the snow Katie wanted to keep her snow pants on.

Meeting Santa Again....

Tonight Katie and I went with Grammy, Izzie and Tripp to Grammy's school to play some games, do crafts and to meet SANTA!!! Katie had a lot of fun making a potholder, above, and coloring it with paint markers. (There are more than a few big globs of paint that won't dry out for weeks!)
Tripp wasn't doing to well tonight, we think he was running a little fever and was really, really tired.
Grammy helping Katie put the ball in the hole.
Hamming it up on the stage.
Chocolate face Katie with Santa.
Opening up her present from Santa (AKA Grammy).
Once again Tripp was not a huge fan of Santa, poor guy, I have so many bribery pictures!
Katie with her new Lightning McQueen.
And Chick Hicks and The King, or Mr. The King as she calls him.
Santa also brought some new blocks, they are very cool!
Grammy and Katie in front of the Christmas tree at Red Lion Junior High.
These are just two funny pictures I took the other night while Katie was eating dinner. We just introduced headbands to Katie and she has to readjust them every time I put one on her head, below is how she thinks they should fit!
Looking Good Kate, Looking Good!

New York City!

Yesterday I boarded a bus at 6pm to spend the day in New York City with some of my girlfriends and it was a blast! We got to New York around 11am and took off for lunch at Tony's Di Napoli, right off of Time Square, for a huge lunch. Luckily Abbey, one of the girls on the trip, goes up to NYC a lot so she knew the best places to eat and the fastest way to get everywhere.
Our group, Myra, Heather, Me, Shawn, Abbey and Joell. All of us, with the exception of Joell, graduated from high school together!
Our LUNCH! We had spaghetti and meatballs, chicken parmesan, and rigatoni with vodka sauce and let me just say WOW, it was so amazing! I did speak up for Grandma Lucia's meatballs though and told the waiter that hers were just as good or better, he was impressed!
Heather stopped for a picture with Elmo and the Cookie Monster, that's how you score brownie points with your 2 year-old son!
The tree at Rockefeller Center.
Radio City Music Hall.
Abbey had gotten us all tickets to see the Christmas Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall and I was blown away just walking into the building. The picture above is the gorgeous Swavorski crystal chandelier that hangs in the entry way, what a way to make a first impression!
The stage with two organ players on either side.
The Rockettes' dressed as Toy Soldiers.
This was so neat, the women lined up and linked arms, and one by one the fell backwards into each other.
The last one to fall fell onto a big red pillow!
The live Nativity scene, again it was breathtaking.
My one and only picture of the famous kick line, I swear I have over a dozen pictures of the Rockettes' not kicking.............I guess I have really bad timing!
The end of the show.
The tree at Rockefeller Center at night.
We made a quick stop inside the NBC studio store and I thought this was cute, the logo filled with M&M's.

The picture below is my friend Shawn with Spider Man, again trying to score points with her 3 year old son............weird looking Spider Man huh?! When in New York!!
