I just had to share this! Katie has a set of invisible friends Kiko, a Lion, and Nemnos, a hippo, and today while she was supposed to be napping she was having a conversation about lunch with Kiko. In case you can't decipher what she is saying there is talk of "milk or juice" and "hot dogs with ketchup" and later "mustard". This went on for 45 minutes!

The Dentist!

Today was Katie's 1st official visit to the dentist. She's actually been there before, but it was when she was 18 months old and fell on her face and we were overly concerned that her teeth might fall out! (yes I'm an over reactor) Since her teeth never did fall out, thank goodness, she was due to begin her bi-annual dentist visits. I was nervous that she would cry the entire time, but to my surprise, she did GREAT! The dental hygienist, Vicki, was fantastic with Katie, letting her pick out her toothpaste (orange) and hold the mouth vacuum thingy. Katie even thought the x-rays were fun! Who knew?

Country Club of York Holiday Party

Tonight was the annual Country Club of York Holiday Family Party and boy was it FUN! We met Grammy, Pop, Aunt Izzie, Uncle Doug, Mimi and Grandpa Barton and Tripp up at the club for some dinner, dancing and a little Santa time!! I just love the picture of Katie and Nat above, I just wish I would have taken it somewhere other than in front of our pile of boxes!

The First Snow of Winter!

It is currently 7:30pm and today's snow is finally winding down, about 3 inches total. Nat and I took Katie out to play in it around noon and as you can see above at that point it was really just a dusting of snow.

She didn't seem to care that it was just a "little" snow.

After dinner, and a little more snow had fallen, she and Nat went out for a walk. You have to LOVE this outfit!

Tripp Day!

Today we had Tripp for the day, YAY! We don't get him too often, so when he comes we make a big fuss, and today we waited for him to come so we could make pancakes!! Between Katie and Tripp they had 5 pancakes, now before you get too impressed with that, I think about 2 pancakes were found in pieces underneath the table! Oh and there are bananas on the table too!

Mid-Week Shuffle

It has been cold and rainy for the past few days so unfortunately we haven't been doing anything fun or exciting, unless you count watching the new Tinkerbell movie exciting! But today the rain stopped and until about 15 minutes ago it was actually sunny, so we went outside with Maddux and went for a little walk around the neighborhood. (Stopping first to pause for a picture in front of the Christmas tree on the front porch.)

Holding hands while crossing the street, yes Katie was upset, Maddux wasn't listening to her (bossy) and she was starting to try and shove him (bully). It's a repeating theme, she's a pusher! Ugh.

So our beautiful children decided they were going to have a spitting contest down the drain....gross!

Thanksgiving

Two days ago we packed up and headed over to Downingtown, Pa. (between Lancaster and Philadelphia) to spend the Thanksgiving holiday with Aunt Christy and Uncle Jarrett. Katie had a lot of fun playing Wii with everybody, as you will see later, but first we had to finish our letter to Santa and take it to the big red mailbox at Macy's. I wish I would have remembered to take my camera to Macy's when she mailed it because it was so cute to see how excited she was, but of course with too many things going on right now, I forgot it! If you click on the actual picture you can read the letter a little more clearly, she dictated the list of presents to me and we are still somewhat confused as to what "Bunny games" are, but we are confident that Santa will figure it out!

Here are some pictures from Thanksgiving at Christy and Jarrett's. As you can see they had a packed house and you can just make out Jim carving the turkey on the kitchen island.

Katie and Grandpa spend a lot of time lining up the ball on the foosball table so Katie could knock it in!

I mean she really, really likes to play!
