Thursday was the first "real" day of school, Katie started at 8:30am and I picked her up at 11:30am, 3 hours of learning and fun! Nat stayed home in the morning to take her into school with me, so we all had breakfast together and got to play as a family before sending her off for her big day.
Katie in her cute little outfit, I had gotten a cute little shorts outfit for the first day of school but we woke up and it was in the high 50's..........a bit chilly for August and for shorts!

Putting her bookbag into her cubbie, ready to start the day! After this picture was taken we walked her into her room and said goodbye. She said "no Mommy" when I went to leave and then Nat pointed out a cool puzzle and she forgot all about us!
When I went to pick Katie up at 11:30am the kids came from around the back of the school, from the playground, out to the pickup spot. They all looked so excited to see their Mommies and a little tired from their day!
Mrs. Wallace had the kids all sit on the step outside of their "exit" door. Her intentions were to walk each child to his/her Mom and let us know how they did that day, Katie and Charlie were the only two kids that actually sat and waited, the other kids made a break for it and just took off for their Moms! I tell you all this because when you look at Katie in this picture she looks so upset and I think it was only because she thought it would never be her turn, as soon as she gave me a hug she was fine!
